Instrument Assisted Soft Tissue Mobilization (IASTM) work is utilized in our office to help with improving the function of care in our office.  The use of these tools help break down adhesions and scar tissue in soft tissue as a result of surgery, immobilization, repeated strain.  The adhesions and scar tissue are broken down allowing full functional restoration to occur.  The use of this device can cause a redness, tenderness or bruising to the tissue that typically resolves within three days.
